Maui Woodworker's Guild

About us

Who are we?

Welcome, this is some information about the Maui Woodworker's Guild. Founded in 2001, there is still a lot to do. We are all busy building something to show you. Our web site is slowly growing. The Guild's purposes are to promote appreciation for all woodworking in Maui county, particularly work in native Hawaiian woods; promote environmental responsibility; promote Maui craftsmanship and encourage new woodworking enthusiasts; and educate it's members and the public in the craft and design of woodworking.

Our first wood show "Inspired Hands: Contemporary work in wood and quilt" , in collaboration with University of Hawaii, Manoa Textiles Department, and the Maui Arts & Cultural Center took place Jan. 13-Feb.24, 2002 at The MACC:s Schaefer Gallery The award results can be seen here: AWARDS

We work in close cooperation with the Hawaii Forest Industry Association (HFIA)
